Gutters
5 signs your gutters need clearing

Blocked gutters are behind a surprising amount of expensive damage — damp walls, rotten fascias, even cracked foundations — and in Kent’s tree-lined streets they fill up faster than people expect. Here’s what to look for.
- Water spilling over the edge in rain. The classic sign — if it’s sheeting off the front instead of running to the downpipe, it’s blocked.
- Green streaks or staining down the wall. Overflowing water leaves tell-tale marks on render and brick below the gutter line.
- Plants growing out of the gutter. Seedlings and moss mean there’s enough trapped silt for things to root — well overdue a clear.
- Sagging or pulling-away sections. The weight of wet debris drags gutters down and strains the brackets.
- Damp patches on interior walls or ceilings. By this stage water is getting where it shouldn’t — worth acting quickly.
We clear gutters by high-reach vacuum from the ground — no ladders against the house — then flush the downpipes and send you before/after photos so you can see it’s done. Most homes need it once a year, twice if you’ve got overhanging trees.
